Labor Day Weekend at The Original Crab Shack
Labor Day weekend already? Give your summer the ending it deserves with a long weekend on Tybee Island! We're sharing some "must do" activities you should put on your long-weekend bucket list!
Sun, sand, and surf are just what you need in the last weekend of the summer. Tybee offers many beautiful beaches for swimming, fishing, and lounging with your favorite cold beverage.
Whether you're enjoying your first trip to Tybee or if Tybee is your go-to vacation spot, you're sure to find plenty to see and do. We always recommend the historic sites on Tybee, like the Lighthouse and Fort Screven, as well as the nearby Fort Pulaski.
If you're looking to get out on the water, we highly recommend Captain Mike's Dolphin Tours. Just a 5 minute drive from The Original Crab Shack, you'll love seeing these beautiful creatures up close in their natural habitat. If you're looking for more personalized tours, you should check out Sundial Ecology Tours and Captain Stan's Marshland Adventures Fishing Charters.
And no trip to Tybee is complete without a visit (or two, or more) at The Original Crab Shack! You won't just find Savannah's best seafood and outdoor dining - it's an experience! Rain or shine, there is so much to see and do at The Original Crab Shack for the whole family. Check in at the host stand and grab a drink from one of our full service bars while we prepare your table.
You can stroll our property with your cold beverage of choice, and feed the baby alligators in the Gator Lagoon, visit the exotic birds, take all the photos in our many photo op spots and photo booths, play games in our new Game Room, and pick up some new barware and our sauces & spice in the Gift Shack.
Before you know it, it will be time to sit down and enjoy your seafood or BBQ feast with views of Chimney Creek! Our friendly staff are happy to answer any of your questions - don't be shy! If it's your first time eating seafood we are always happy to give you some pointers or a tutorial for cracking into those crab legs, peeling the shrimp, or how to eat crawfish.
We hope to see you soon "where the elite eat in their bare feet"!
