The Historic Tybee Post Theater

Fort Pulaski

Historic Fort Pulaski is only a few minutes from TheOriginal Crab Shack on your way to Tybee Island! Fort Pulaski took 18 years tobuild and was completed in 1847. It was claimed by the state of Georgia beforethe Civil War, and only one battle took place at the fort in 1862. Take a walkback in time and tour Fort Pulaski and also enjoy the trails on the property!

The Tybee Lighthouse & Fort Screven

The Tybee Island Lighthouse is Georgia’s oldest and tallest lighthouse! Climb the 178 steps to the top and enjoy gorgeous views of the island and the Atlantic Ocean. You’ll also be able to explore historic Fort Screven!

Tybee Island Marine Science Center

The new Tybee Island Marine Science Center is open! The new building is located on Tybee’s north beach. Explore the new facility and checkout their schedule of beach walks and educational programs!
